Brass and Concert Band Portals

I should be doing this more often.

As many, perhaps most, of you will be aware I run bandsman.co.uk and concert-bands.co.uk. Even though they are .co.uk sites, both are international sites for brass and concert bands respectively. Associated with them are the twitter feeds @bbportal and @cbportal. I'd like thoughts on what is helpful and what isn't, what new things to add and what old things could be improved. Both sites look rather dated now because I've taken the approach of substance over style, but I'm wondering if it's now time to work more on the style.
